Two days ago, we were eating burgers, so I got the grill out of our shed (in the backyard), and left the shed-doors open for a while. I then saw two birds rushing past me. One flew OVER the shed, the other sped inside the shed... 'THUNK'! The bird was dazed, but moving, and after a few mins it flew back out. Good.

Now, this afternoon, my wife came to me saying a bird had sped into the sliding glass doors of our kitchen. I went to check, and the bird was laying there in the grass, dazed for a while, but it eventually flew back out. Excellent.

Now, I didn't think anything of this... Untill I took a shower. I suddenly realized:

TWO birds crashing in the last 2 days...
I am FLYING to Memphis this Friday...
Are the number/time/date 9:11 and the birds (planes are often symbolized as birds) crashing a coincidence?

Then again, I've had 'mysterious' shit going on in my life ever since I was small (Overall, not BAD stuff!). No need to bore you with all that, but I do have enough experience to know that yes, life works in mysterious/miraculous ways.

I am flying to Memphis this Friday!

OK, so I think to myself (?) "OK then, if the 9:11 and birds crashing are some kind of omens, then tell you what: IF another bird crashes before I go to Memphis, then I AM gonna cancel my flight." Hey, I am NOT superstitious, but this is all a bit weird.

Ever since I left the shower, I was thinking about all this. I even had a bit of a knot in my stomach because of it. I felt 'weird'. But life goes on (sic) and the dishes needed washing so I went into the kitchen and got started on them. I was thinking "Hmm, supposedly, planes always crash three in a row." Well, whaddaya know!? THUNK!
Yep, another bird crashed into the sliding glass door! Plane -er, BiRD, #3!

So now what do I do? Cancel my flight? Like I said, it IS important for me to go to Memphis. My wife thinks I should cancel anyway; 3 bird-crash occurances in just a few days (and one about an hour after I asked for a 'sign'), and then those 9:11 sightings...
Mind you, over the last 3 years that I've lived here I never noticed any birds crashing, into the shed or otherwise. (Then again, the glass door was installed last summer, and the trees were planted in the backyard last summer as well and thus this is the first spring we have trees that have berries in them, which are attracting all those birds in the backyard the last few days)

ya, from what I am aware, only One bird has crashed into that sliding glass door —or anywhere around the house, for that matter— since.... +, I just went to the kitchen to see what our restless chi was up to [false alarm.... She just wants food].... looked @ the clock. Lo and behold: 9:11
